Offered is a genuine 1944-dated WWII U.S. Rocket Launcher Face Mask, designed for use with the M1 / M1A1 / M9 Bazooka. This protective mask was issued to shield the gunner’s face from backblast, heat, smoke and debris when firing the rocket launcher.
This example comes complete with its original individual printed carton, clearly marked:
“Mask, Face, Launcher, Rocket”

Historical Note
Introduced during WWII, these masks were issued to bazooka gunners in infantry and armored units to protect against flash and debris. Many were discarded after the war, making surviving examples — especially with original carton — desirable collector pieces.
