A truly rare and untouched piece of history.
Offered here is an original German WWII Truppenfahrrad, found near Écausseville, Normandy. According to the previous owner, the bicycle was recovered locally, and the original Pallas bicycle found earlier also came from Normandy—making this an especially compelling historical pairing.
Highlights
•100% original & complete – exactly as found
•Original wartime camouflage patina – untouched, honest aging
•Frame number present
•Year marking on the opposite side is not readable due to original paint coverage
(removing the paint would destroy originality, which is absolutely not done)
•Correct details throughout: lamp, grips, saddle springs, rack, pedals, fittings
•Never restored – no repaint, no alterations
Condition
This Truppenfahrrad survives in exceptional original condition, something almost never seen today. The natural wear, surface oxidation, and camouflage traces tell its wartime story exactly as it should.
Historical Note
German military bicycles were widely used during WWII for troop movement, dispatch riders, and logistics—especially in occupied Europe. Normandy finds with authentic patina and full originality are extremely scarce.
MG42 mount provided on the bike
A museum-level piece for the serious WWII collector.
Complete, original, and with a documented Normandy provenance—you simply don’t find them like this anymore.
