The year of construction is somewhere between 1947-1949 given the model.
An exceptionally rare and iconic piece of history – this is an original Excelsior Mk II,Designed for rapid deployment, these compact motorcycles were dropped in containers and assembled in minutes.

•Engine: 98cc Villiers two-stroke, original “Excelsior” casing
•Markings: “MK2 W22085”, “BES 1065 JB”, “Brockhouse Product” plate
•Frame, engine and exhaust all period-correct
•Folding handlebars and seat spring assembly intact
•Refinished in correct wartime olive drab paint
These bikes were famously used during operations  and were favored for their mobility behind enemy lines. Only about 4,000 units were ever made – surviving examples in this condition are increasingly difficult to find.
Condition: Very good, historically accurate restoration with original parts. Engine turns.
