year of construction is somewhere between 1946-1949 given the model.
An exceptionally rare and iconic piece of  history – this is an original Excelsior Welbike Mk II, developed for British airborne troops and SOE agents during World War II. Designed for rapid deployment, these compact motorcycles were dropped in containers and assembled in minutes on the battlefield.

•Markings: “MK2 W24326”, “BES 1065 JB”, “Brockhouse Product” plate
•Stamped with tactical code 101 A/B (101st Airborne-style)
•Frame, engine and exhaust all period-correct
•Folding handlebars and seat spring assembly intact
•Refinished in correct wartime olive drab paint
These bikes were famously used during airborne operations such as Market Garden and were favored for their mobility behind enemy lines. Only about 4,000 units were ever made – surviving examples in this condition are increasingly difficult to find.
Condition: Very good, historically accurate restoration with original parts and correct stenciling. Engine turns, not tested for riding.
A true collector’s piece and centerpiece for any museum, reenactment group, or military vehicle collection.
