Original German WWII 3.7cm Flak ammunition transport/storage case, recovered in Normandy.
A rare and highly decorative battlefield relic, still retaining its original interior paint, original factory ammunition label, complete internal ammunition retaining system and original wooden carry handle in remarkably preserved condition.
The original paper label inside the case remains present and readable, an extremely desirable feature rarely still found intact on wartime ammunition transport cases.
The interior remains exceptionally well preserved with its original wartime green finish in very good condition and all internal fittings fully complete and intact.
The exterior shows authentic wartime wear, traces of original German camouflage paint and honest combat-used patina acquired during decades of storage after the war.
Included are several original Normandy ground-found shell casings together with one original inert 3.7cm Flak round dated 1940. Some of the shell casings were unfortunately repainted at some point in the past, while others still retain their untouched battlefield condition and original aged surface.
