Original U.S. WWII Signal Corps glass insulator set, recovered in Normandy, France.

A fantastic and untouched Normandy barn find. These original U.S. WWII Signal Corps communication line insulators were discovered in a barn in Normandy and personally collected on site. The exact two insulators shown in the photos are included and sold together as one complete lot.

Manufactured by Whitall Tatum Co. U.S.A. and clearly marked:

* “WHITALL TATUM No.2”

* “MADE IN U.S.A.”

* dated 11-43 and 4-43

Both insulators still retain their original heavy steel mounting brackets with beautiful untouched field patina and surface aging.

These were used by the U.S. Army Signal Corps for wartime field telephone and communication lines during and after the Normandy campaign.
