An exceptionally rare complete wartime display of “Bruyère Pfeifen – Garantiert Deutsche Wertarbeit” (guaranteed German craftsmanship).
These pipe sets were produced as patriotic gift items for Wehrmacht soldiers at the front, symbolizing a warm greeting from home.
Each pipe is made of bruyère (briar) wood, stamped “Bruyère Garantie”, and presented on the original illustrated backing card featuring a German soldier smoking a pipe in a steel helmet. The text reads:
“Für unsere Soldaten an der Front als Gruß aus der Heimat.”
(For our soldiers at the front, as a greeting from home.)
