Description:
Authentic WWII U.S. M7 machine linker used to assemble metal ammunition links for .50 BMG belts. This example appears to be unissued / new-old-stock, still wrapped in original wartime paper/cosmoline inside its original stenciled carton. Mechanism is intact; pins and feed bars present. Surface shows typical long-term storage ageing — cosmoline residue and some light surface oxidation where the cosmoline has broken down. No ammunition or weapons included.
Condition (detailed):
• Unissued / NOS — original packing/cosmoline present.
• All feed bars and forming pins present (see photos).
• Minor surface rust consistent with long storage in grease — no obvious mechanical damage.
• Cardboard box is fragile and aged but retains wartime stencil marking and manufacturer info.
• Sold as a historic collector/display piece — not tested for operational use.
Measurements / fit:
Standard M7 size for .50 BMG link forming; compatible with historical .50 link tooling and workshop displays. (Contact if you need exact dimensions.)
Provenance / notes:
Box marking and manufacturer point to wartime U.S. Ordnance supply. Close-up photos show a casting/serial style mark on the frame — included for buyer inspection (see image gallery).
