Original cast identification plate from a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 10 Ton Ponton Bridge, Model 1938, dated June 1942.
Manufactured by Snead & Company, Jersey City, New Jersey, one of the wartime contractors producing aluminum ponton bridge equipment for the U.S. Army during World War II.
The plate is made of cast metal with its original raised lettering and retains an attractive wartime appearance with honest age and wear. A rare and highly collectible piece of U.S. Engineer Corps history, perfect for collectors, museums, or restoration projects.
