NOS’ wartime U.S. Army warning sign.

This is an authentic WWII U.S. Military Reservation – No Trespassing sign made from asphalt-impregnated cardboard (roofing material), exactly as used during the war to save strategic metal and reduce production costs.

These signs were designed to be:

•Lightweight

•Weather resistant

•Flexible (could be nailed to trees, poles, fences or buildings)

•Cheap and fast to produce

They were used to mark:

•U.S. Army bases

•Airfields

•Ammunition depots

•Training areas

•Restricted military zones

🔧 Details:

•Period: World War II (circa 1942–1945)

•Material: Original roofing / bitumen impregnated cardboard

•Original factory punched mounting holes

•Original wartime paint and lettering

•Nice honest patina and aging

•Not a reproduction

⭐ Why this is special:

Because these signs were made as temporary wartime items, most were destroyed by weather or thrown away after the war. Surviving original examples in this condition are becoming harder to find.

Perfect for:

•US WWII collection

•Military vehicle or camp display

•Man cave, showroom or museum display
