Offered here is a rare and humorous Two piece of WWII militaria: an original “One Beer” certificate issued by U.S. Army Engineers stationed in North Africa in 1943. These novelty notes were created by American troops as a light-hearted way to boost morale, often used during special events or as part of internal unit traditions.
•Front side features a spoof design of a beer ration voucher, signed by a “Commanding Officer” and stamped “North Africa – 1943.”
•Reverse side shows detailed artwork of a military base with radar dishes and buildings, marked E.T.C. (possibly Engineer Training Center).
•Marked “Valid for One Beer – Pilsner or Lager Only!”
