WWII U.S. Browning .30 Airborne Conversion Set
Original WWII parts set designed to convert the standard Browning M1919A4 into a lighter Airborne / Paratrooper configuration. These modifications were used by U.S. Airborne troops and infantry to create a more mobile version of the .30 caliber machine gun, similar in layout to the later M1919A6.
The set includes:
•Shortened perforated cooling barrel shroud (Airborne type)
•Complete shoulder stock for infantry use
•Adjustable bipod with clamp and wingnut fittings
•Several flash hiders / muzzle devices
These parts were specially designed for airborne use, allowing the Browning .30 to be deployed in the field without the need for a heavy tripod or vehicle mount. A very hard-to-find and highly desirable set for collectors of U.S. Airborne equipment and WWII machine gun accessories.
Condition: Original WWII parts, good used condition with honest wear and patina.
